Helping Illinois Solar Companies serve Customers in obtaining their Solar Renewable Energy Credits since 2020.

About DFK SALES INC.

SIMPLICITY & EFFICIENCY

Our goal is to encourage residents, businesses, municipalities, and non-profits to convert to solar energy.

Illinois faces a hard reality with an aging power grid and ever increasing demand for energy. Through the efforts coming from Illinois Shines, together we can make an impact in supporting the State of Illinois' targets to have 40% of its energy come from renewable energy sources by 2030, 50% by 2040, and 100% clean energy by 2050.

As an Approved Vendor, DFK SALES INC. pays out the highest percentage to solar customers. Customers can quickly pay for their conversion to clean solar energy.

We work directly with Solar Installers who are certified as a Distributed Generation Installer (click here to see a current list), in good standing with the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC). We serve Installers customers in processing and obtaining their Solar Renewable Energy Credits, quickly and efficiently.

FAQ'S

Have Questions?

Does DFK SALES INC. work in states outside of Illinois?

No. As a locally owned and operated company, we choose to work in our own backyard and serve our fellow Illinois residents and business owners.

What automations does DFK SALES INC. utilize?

We integrate an API connection with our monitoring system to report accurate PV System output. It is important to keep accurate reporting due to the responsibilities we take on as an Approved Vendor.

What is an SREC?

"SREC" stands for Solar Renewable Energy Credit. It is a specific type of REC generated by a solar project, as opposed to another type of renewable energy resource (such as wind or hydropower). The amount of SREC's a customer would receive is based upon the production estimated over a period of time.

I install PV Systems. How can I work with you to serve my customers?

Simply click the Designee Registration button to get started. We will gather information to create your account with us, then we will email you the Illinois Shines Designee Request Form which is a fillable PDF. Once you complete that form and send it back to us, we will submit it for approval to the Program Administrator (currently Energy Solutions). After they approve it, you will be able to assign us as your Approved Vendor to your customers. The process will take several days, but isn't very long.

What determines the amount which gets paid for the SREC's to my customers?

When submitting a project application to Illinois Shines, we will include an estimate of how much electricity the solar project will generate based on the project’s size and specifications (to be approved by the Program Administrator), and the incentive payment will be based on this amount. When you work with your customer and project the systems output, it is important to correctly ascertain the tilt, shading, inverter, and module capabilities. Incorrectly accounting for these issues can negatively impact your customers results. Feel free to contact us with any questions regarding this issue.
